Ding Ding Ding, let round two commence! My fall capsule wardrobe is ready to be switched out and renewed into this years Winter Capsule Wardrobe!
This being my second time around at creating a capsule I found it a bit easier to decide on what items needed to be put into this seasons capsule and what I can do without.
I went with three of the same pairs of pants from my last capsule because they have been my most worn pants since I have purchased them. The first pair is a dark green skinny pant Hudson Bay Company's Material Girl line. Then I had to keep both of my black skinny jeans in the mix, the plain black skinny jeans American Eagle & ripped black Forever21.
Still keeping my neutral pallet I kept everything within a grey scale and then added some cool toned pieces. I kept a few items from my fall capsule such as the navy top H&M, grey long sleeve Forever21, the three grey scale t-shirts American Eagle & Forever21. I added two new tops that I recieved for Christmas, a black long sleeve blouse & a henley zip up tank (both from Dynamite).
Layering Must Haves
I am always cold no matter where I am! I needed to add a few more layering pieces into my capsule to make sure that I had something that would go with every outfit or occasion.
I added the burgundy and grey wool cardigan Roots and then a few from my Fall capsule as well, navy and cream cardigan Forever21, fur trimmed poncho sweater Forever21, and two flannels (one in blue tones and the other in red) Forever21 and Zumiez.
I went with only one dress this round because I do not see myself wearing too many dresses or lighter pieces in the below zero temperatures. But I am trying to force myself to get more use out of my black and white sweater dress Forever21.
I went with a new jacket to my wardrobe that is a bit longer than my usual winter jackets, with faux leather shoulder pieces and fur edging this dark grey coat should go with most if not all outfits Forever21. I did end up adding my navy and camel coloured vest H&M in case I wanted to force myself to layer more and create outfits I usually wouldn't create.
I chose a few of the same shoes from last capsule; neutral pointed toe heeled booties Forever21, white tennis shoes Converse. I also added a few new pairs that I purchased over the winter break; Beige and navy winter boots Call It Spring & a neutral pair of platform booties Forever21.
I want to know; has anyone else tried or thought about trying to create capsule wardrobes? I want to hear your thoughts on the idea and any tips or tricks you find that are helpful!
